Arrived at the north entrance at 06:30. Light was low and warm for the first 40 minutes — best conditions I've had in a month. Purple Swamphen at the north pond again. This is my 7th sighting of what I think is the same individual (or a pair). It was foraging in the reed margin, pulling up stems and stripping them with its foot. Watched for 20 mins. Got maybe 40 usable frames. SPECIES (9): Purple Swamphen, Grey Heron (2), Oriental Magpie-Robin, Zebra Dove, Spotted Dove, Common Myna, Asian Koel (heard only), Olive-backed Sunbird (f), Streak-eared Bulbul SHOTS: ~200 frames. Keepers: maybe 15. Best: swamphen foraging sequence.
